Celebrities Roast Galloway at Successful BBYF Gala

Randy Galloway (photo by Bob Haynes)The barbs, good-nature jabs, and laughs were aplenty Wednesday night at the BBYF's Lifetime Achievement Award Gala honoring Randy Galloway (pictured right). The event was held at the Renaissance Worthington Fort Worth Hotel.

For the first time the Gala took on the form of a "celebrity roast" with sports and media notables from the Dallas-Fort Worth area taking turns "roasting" the longtime columnist and retired radio talk show host.  The Star-Telegram's Mac Engel recaps some of the highlights of the roast.

As usual the event featured a live and silent auction benefiting the BBYF scholarship program which provides the promise of a college scholarship to eighth graders upon completion of high school.  The event featured a tribute to next spring's graduating class of 2010 BBYF scholarship winners.
